ATNI, Issues Quarterly Dividend

Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. is a telecom company which supplies services to niche, rural and other under supplied markets in the U.S., the Caribbean and Bermuda. The company operates wire and wireless services, in addition to submarine fiber optic networks and terrestrial networks. Th company serves markets that are technically challenged, for example, deserts, plains and mountainous areas in the U.S.

The company also provides telecom services through its subsidiaries: Commnet Wireless, LLC (US), Sovernet (US), ION Holdco, LLC (US), Choice Communications (US Virgin Islands), Alltel (US), GT&T (Guyana), CellularOne (Bermuda), and Islandcom Telecommunications (Turks & Caicos).

Atlantic Tele-Network, Inc. (ATNI) just issued its quarterly dividend of $0.23 last week on 12/28/2011. Taken as a % of the stock price, the dividend is about 0.59%. The dividends will be payable on January 9th on 2012.

The stock itself has been sort of rising over the last four months but has been trading sideways  over the last 2 months.  The company pays a steady quarterly dividend which helps improve the return.
